Evelyn V. Kolinoski Malta, NY - Evelyn V. Kolinoski passed away at her home on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Born on October 20, 1938 in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Marie Catherall. Evelyn had a long, rewarding nursing career working with disabled children at the Human Recourses School in Long Island before retiring in 1998. She then moved upstate to Saratoga Springs to live near her family and closest friends. Evelyn loved life and had a wonderful smile that would light up a room. She enjoyed spending time with her extensive family, talking with people of all walks of life and adored her dogs. Her greatest passion was horse racing and socializing at the local racino. Evelyn was a very vibrant, compassionate and loving lady. She had a gift for making everybody feel like they were special, treating them as thought they were her best friend. Most of all, she was generous to a fault. Evelyn was forever grateful for the lifelong friendships she had with her closest friends including Judy Boyle, Ellen and Jerry Gallager and Fran and Jack Moskowitz. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Kolinoski; her brother Jack and sister Marie. Survivors include her four sons and their families, David and his wife Debbie Rich, and John Rich all of Saratoga Springs, Steven Rich of Stillwater and James Rich of Wilton; two stepsons, Raymond Kolinoski of Florida and Donald Kolinoski of the Bronx; her brother Andrew Catherall and his wife Dorothy of Malta; niece Janine Remarque of Queensbury and her dear friend Dave Stapley of Malta; many beloved grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and so many more lifelong friends to list who all brought great joy to her later years. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave. by Rev. Timothy F. Keating, C.Ss.R.
