Gerald ‘Kojak' F. Colmbe Sr. QUEENSBURY - Gerald ‘Kojak' F. Colmbe Sr., 68, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born on August 2, 1944, he was the son of the late Frank E. and Gene (Conradsen) Colombe. Gerald served in the U.S. Air Force for 13 years and traveled the world as a Med- Tech, with his wife Roseanne, to places such as Greece, Turkey, Germany and Spain. In the evenings he played in a band wherever he was stationed at the NCO Clubs. Gerald worked for Glenford, New County Ford Subaru of Saratoga and Carriage Traders for many years. He loved watching football and cheering on his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys. He loved watching NASCAR, basketball and OTB. He enjoyed boating, fishing and scuba diving while he was in Athens, Greece. Gerald was a Eucharistic Minister at the St. Joseph's Church in Fort Edward. He and his wife loved to do pilgrimages annually to The Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. Besides his parents, Gerald is predeceased by his wife of 49 years Roseanne M. Colombe. Survivors include his siblings Larry Conradsen, Donna Conradsen, Holly Conradsen and Cindy Baker; daughter Teresa Hammond and husband Mark, son Gerald F. Colombe and wife Karen, daughter Tracey Pickering, and son Gregory Colombe and fiancé Karen Sutliff; longtime friend Helen Haughton; his loving companion China, his dog; nieces and nephews Susan Baker, Dianna B, Melissa Davies, Albert Davies, and Michael Dickonson as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, other nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to his daughter Tracey Pickering and grandchildren Rosie Pickering and Chris Pickering for the help and care towards Dad in his final days.
