Raymond E. Baker Porter Corners - Raymond E. Baker 82, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Born in Greenfield, NY on October 8, 1931, he was the son of Robert and Alice Baker. He was a Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War. Ray was an engineer for Espey Manufacturing for 16 years and later for Guyson Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1998. Ray owned and operated B and K Sports in Porter Corners for many years where he sold and serviced snowmobiles and motorcycles. Ray and his wife enjoyed traveling throughout the United States in their motor home. He was an avid hunter. Ray is survived by his wife of 50 years, Theresa Angier Baker; his children, Robert Baker of Saratoga Springs, Gail Baker (Richard Marshall) of Mechanicville, Mark Baker (Nancy Kiuber) of Saratoga Springs and Robin Baker of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Dale Older (Mamani), Renee Rutherford (Robert) and Harley Will; brother, Ronald Baker (Beverly) of Greenfield; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10am Saturday, May 10 at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow in Middle Grove Cemetery.
