Ivy Olmstead-Morris Obituary
Ivy Baoyang Olmstead-Morris Swanzey, New Hampshire - Ivy Baoyang Olmstead-Morris of Swanzey, New Hampshire, daughter of Christopher Michael Morris and Kimberley Olmstead-Morris, formerly of Wilton New York, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2014. Born in Shaanxi Province, China, on September 20, 2011 and adopted at the age of 18 months from the regional orphanage on April 7, 2013, Ivy lived a joyful, spirited life in the United States for the 444 days she was with us. “Baoyang” was the name given to her in the orphanage; her parents decided to keep it as Ivy’s middle name. She enjoyed people of all ages, her little shopping cart at the Monadnock Food Co-op, trips to the beach, telling her mother exactly how to do everything, and her stuffed animals and dolls. Ivy received open-heart surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital in October 2013 and was given a clean bill of health. She leaves behind many who loved her including her parents and brother Spencer Daniel Olmstead-Morris of Swanzey New Hampshire, Grandpa Dale and Grandma Karen Christopher of Wilton NY, Uncle Paul and Aunt Julia Christopher of Wilton, NY, Uncle Evan Christopher of Denver, CO, special friend Adam Badger of Clifton Park, NY, Grampy Richard and Meme Marie Olmstead of Keene NH, Oma Betty Lou and the late Opa Lebertus van der Werff of Auburn, NY. Best friend “Uncle” Terry Hall of Swanzey, NH. Great Grandfather Daniel John Barch of West Hatfield, MA. Great Grandmother Marie Louise Markert Barch of East Longmeadow, MA. Great Grandaunt Wanda Olson of Davenport, IA. Also many Great Uncles, Uncles, Great Aunts, Aunts, and other extended family members. Calling hour 2PM Sunday June 29 with Celebration of Life at 3PM Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro Street Keene, NH. www.fletcherfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers, please donate in Ivy’s name to the orphan adoption charity HarmonyOutreach.org.
