I know of Mr. Wilfong through my work with developing Subcontracting Programs. He was evidently a true soldier in his mission to assist in the growth of small disadvantaged businesses. I am sure he will be missed by those who benefitted from his work, and by all who knew him.

Hank and I became accidental friends. The first time we spoke I knew I had a connection with him, and Hank and I spoke often about the ins and outs of education and politics in Savannah.
During our first conversation, he told me a story about when he was having breakfast with a friend and Hank described himself as having "mystique"; however his friend thought he said he was a "misfit." From then on I affectionately referred to him as "the misfit with a mystique." I think that describes Hank wonderfully. He wasn't a native Savannahnian so some people thought of him as a misfit in our activist community, but his mystique outweighed any lack of Southern geographic origin.
I will miss Hank not only as a friend, but as a true advocate of the small disadvantaged business community in Savannah and in our nation. Hank truly cared and was a sponge for knowledge about how to make our community better.
My heart breaks for Willene, their family, and friends during this time.

I hardly knew Hank but respected his perspective and more so his willingness to share with the community. Sincere condolences to you, Wyllene.

It's our Hank. I looked up his profile on savannahnow.com. I know we didn't all agree on everything but we did agree that we are blessed to live in a country with the freedom to disagree. Sometimes Hank made me mad but sometimes he was right. He was an intelligent, eloquent man and I for one will miss his comments on savannahnow. RIP Hank Wilfong I know you had a lot more you wanted to say, I'm so sorry you didn't get the time to say it all. To the Wilfong family please know the thoughts and prayers of a lot of savannahnow's online community will miss Hank and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
