Francis Anderson

Francis Joseph Frank Anderson - SAVANNAH - Francis Joseph Frank Anderson, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Friday Nov. 30, 2012, under the loving care of Hospice Savannah. He was preceded in death by his wife, Harriett Tetterton Anderson and a son, Michael Anderson. Frank was born and raised in Peabody, MA. Following his graduation from high school, he joined the US Marines and remained with the Marines for over 21 years. Following his retirement from the Marines, Frank went to work for the Georgia Ports in the dispersing department and retired a second time with over 23 years of service at the ports He was a member of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He is survived by a son, Brian of Tampa, FL; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Frasier, of MA; several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5 - 7p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel with a Rosary Service at 6:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist with burial to follow in the Catholic Cemetery.
