Robert Harold Johnson, Sr. - SAVANNAH - Robert Harold Johnson, Sr., 91, passed away peacefully at Hospice House on Friday, April 25, 2014. He was born on November 9, 1922 in Columbia, Tennessee. His parents were Robert Clyde Johnson and Polly Lucille Russell. He met his future wife, Hazel Delores Taylor, in 1947 when both worked at the Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He began his career as and engineer in Mobile, Alabama, then transferred to Savannah, Georgia in 1954 as a Structural Engineer for The Army Corps of Engineers. He retired in May of 1985. He was a devoted Christian and was a true warrior for Christ; he was a gentle man small in stature but mighty in spirit. His greatest joy was his family, especially the homemade cards from Wade and Lucy. He is survived by his only child, Robert H.
