David Hardy

David Ben Hardy - SAVANNAH - David Ben Hardy, born November 4, 1949 in Greenville, SC passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. David attended and was a member of Lake Mayer Church of Christ in Savannah. He was a US Army and Vietnam veteran who was a member of the Group at Veterans Center of Savannah, Chaplain of Star Chapter #436, U.S.O., D.A.V., V.V.A., American Red Cross, Moose Lodge, and the American Legion post #36. In his spare time, he enjoyed volunteering at Williams Court, attending Veteran's parades, playing drums for Billy's Piano Bar, shooting pool, bike rides, fishing and boating. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Brian) Mc Ninch of Graham, NC; son, Jason Sanders of TX; sisters, Janice Turner of Athens, GA. and Tina Anderson of Statesville, GA; longtime friend, Jane Napier of Dallas, GA; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Everyone is invited to attend a celebration of David's life at 3:00pm, Monday, October 7, 2013 at Lake Mayer Church of Christ at 1813 Montgomery Crossroads in Savannah.
