I'm very sorry to hear of Dr. Bill's passing. We sailed together on the Sailboat "Honey Sail" many times, owned by Captain Jack Fitzgerald. He was a fine man, mate and friend.

Bill Rhangos went out of his way to be kind to me when I considered going to medical school at Duke. He helped me by inviting me to his home and recommending me to the Dean of Admissions. His mother, Denise, married a cousin of mine. He also was very kind to me and my stepson when I visited Savannah many years ago. He had a part to play in my decision to go into Orthopaedic Surgery. The last time I spoke with him he advised me about some of his health issues and it was for this reason that I went on line today as I wanted to communicate with him again. I feel very badly that I waited too long since he was a person I looked up to. At the time he served his residency at Duke the demands on the residents were very severe and I know that he was one of the residents who was held in high regard and was respected. I want to wish his family the best. Lowell Gill.
