Byron Avant Obituary

Byron Allen Avant - GLENNVILLE - Byron Allen Avant, 55, died on December 9, 2009 at Toombs Nursing Home in Lyons. The Fulton County native moved to this area from Atlanta. He was employed as a machinist in the textile industry and loved to play baseball, watch wrestling and play video games with his son. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vera and Byron Avant. Survivors include his wife, Debra Ann Baker Avant of Glennville; children, Christopher Avant, Jennifer Avant, both of Glennville; sister, Veronica Roberts of Glennville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerrel and Bobby Baker of Glennville; brother-in-law, Bryan Baker (Anita) of Glennville; sisters-in-law, Melinda Hodges (Randy) of Claxton, Lisa Gulbrandson of Glennville, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services and burial will be private at a later date. Remembrances: Tattnall County Cares, P.O. Box 2356, Reidsville, GA 30453.
