Leslie Flowers was my best friend. Even when we were in second grade, I knew he was one of the good guys. I will miss him every day for the rest of my life. He was a true gentleman, with a wonderful mind and a generous heart. Goodbye, my friend, goodbye. The world is a poorer place without you in it.

I met Leslie at memorial Hospital in Savannah when he had his accident 1968. Kept up with him for years but lost contct several years ago. Words cannot expresshow I feel in my heart for you all. We must remember that for every season there is a reason, and God only picks the best. I know that you are hurting but he is in a better place now, although there seems to be no better place than a mother's arms. My heart weeps with you and your family. Remember, earth has no sorrows that Heaven canot heal.
