Diane Albright Obituary

Charlene Glisson - SAVANNAH - Diane B. Albright, beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, 68, of Savannah, completed her journey with Alzheimer's on November 15, 2011. Diane was an artist and a writer, and enjoyed crafts, classical music, sewing and needlework, cooking, and her cats. Born in 1943, and raised in Cleveland, OH, she worked for various Federal agencies, most recently OSHA. Diane held a degree in English and was a professional artist for many years. She was married in 1971 to Jerome L. Albright Jr., who preceded her into the hereafter in 1993, and with whom Diane is now rejoined. Diane was also preceded by her mother and father, Rubydell & Samuel Berk, her son, David Albright, and her brother-in-law, Jeff Albright. Diane is survived by one son, Jonathan Albright, of Savannah; two daughters, Jennifer Kraus and her husband, Scott, of Apex, NC, and Jamie Albright, of Savannah; one granddaughter, Lyssa Kraus, of Apex, NC; two sister-in-laws, Jody Albright, of Douglassville, PA and Shirley Albright, of Frenchtown, NJ; and one nephew-in-law, Kurtis Albright and his wife, Melissa, of Troy, NY. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue. The Funeral Service will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by Rabbi Julie Hirsh. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
