Not sure what to say?

April 26, 2010

We were very saddened to hear of Brother Claude's passing. We enjoyed many sings at CP Miller and Brother Claude was truly the biggest fan of gospel singing! He always had a smile on his face and a song in his heart. We know you will miss him dearly.

We are sorry to learn that Claude is gone. He and Reba were my family's next-door neighbors in Pine Gardens, back in the fifties. What a nice, gentle man. We offer our sympathy to family & friends.

Rudy, Sandra, Chris & Todd,
I just heard about your father/grandfather. I remember going to his house off of Skidaway Road, back in my younger days. He was such a sweet man. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

We are truly saddened by the loss of Bro. Claude. What a blessing he was to so many who had the opportunity to know him. He was a very sweet man who dedicated his life to furthering the gospel of His Lord through his willingness to promote gospel sings. We had the pleasure of knowing him for many, many years as we traveled to Savannah to sing for him. Our fondest memory will be remembering how when we would drive up to the church at night, Bro. Claude would be out there waiting to greet us with his faithful flashlight. What a joy it was to see that little light shining and what a lighthouse he was to his community! He will be dearly missed but only for a short while!

Our hearts are sadden as we learn of the GREAT loss. We met Bro. Claude many years ago and what a blessing to know him. To know him was to love him. Alan and I formed a friendship with him from the very beginning. He helped support our music ministry for many years, but he was more than just a promoter, he was a dear friend. We will miss him more than words can express. Our prayers are with his family. We love you Bro. Claude!

Gospel music has lost a great friend. We have been working with Claude for over 20 years and what a joy it has been. We were in Savannah last Saturday and it was not the same without him. We will miss you Claude. We are better people for having known you. We know that you are now enjoying the ultimate "Victory In Jesus."

Claude has left an everlasting impression on many people. We have missed his attendance at gospel sings during his illness, but he was never out of our minds and hearts. He carried on a Christian tradition that will be remembered by all who attended the gospel sings arranged by him. I shall always think of him when I hear "Victory in Jesus." Now he can go fishing when he wants and still have the best seat in the house for gospel music concerts. My sympathy is with his family; however, we can only praise God for the time we had with him.
