Dennis Waldo Pittman, 66, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Liberty Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Statesboro to the late Waldo Floyd & Dorothy Lee Howard Pittman. He grew up attending Doubleheads Baptist Church, and later in life, attended Countryside Baptist Church. He was a building contractor most of his life. Survivors include his children, Dana Pittman Shuman of Rincon and Dennis Waldo Pittman, II of Rincon; grandchildren, Michael Petrea, Jr. (Anna), Nicholas Petrea, Zachary Petrea, Hunter Petrea, Spencer Pittman and Hayley Pittman; great-grandchildren, Colton and Lakeland Petrea; sisters, Gail Pittman Taylor of Guyton and Jean Pittman Edenfield of McClenny, FL; brother, Howard Kim Pittman of Guyton, and several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler. Friends may sign the online register book at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Homes - West Chatham Chapel (912) 748-2444
