Fay Robertson Obituary

Mrs. Fay Allen Robertson - SAVANNAH - Mrs. Fay Allen Robertson, 72, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Friday morning July 24, 2007 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ignatius Robertson; parents, Willie Allen and Alsie Morris Thomson and a sister, Annette Price. She was born and raised in Vidalia, Ga. (Toombs Co.) and has lived in Savannah for most of her adult life. Fay was affiliated with several local Banking Institutions here in Savannah. She was awarded the Georgia Commendation Medal for her support of the Georgia Air National Guard Family Readiness Group. Fay was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand mother. She is survived by three sons; Joseph I., Jr. (Fran) of Savannah; Robert H. (Patricia), of Oviedo, FL; Douglas M. (Susan), of Richmond Hill, Ga.; one daughter, Cynthia F. Provence (Joseph) of Columbia, SC; two sisters; Martha L. Carn; Mary W. Burgess, both of Savannah; 12 grandchildren, Stephanie, Chris, Joey, Courtney, Jarred, Shawn, Tommy, Ann, Olivia, Matthew, Morgan and Michael; one great-grandchild, Mikey; several nieces and nephews Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2009, at Fairhaven Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home with Fr. Patrick O'Brian officiating. Burial: Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery. I miss you everyday. I love you so much Grandma. I can feel it in my heart as I type the heaviness that's still there. I have so many questions I never asked and words I never shared.. I am just missing you right now. You and all my strawberry and cherry kisses. I love u just wishing u were still physically here that said Spiritually I feel you all the time. Xo Muah!
