George McDonald Obituary

Mr. George "Gator" McDonald - POOLER - Mr. George Franklin McDonald, born, September 25, 1929, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2009. He is preceded in death by his wife, Etta Carolyn Britt McDonald. He was a truck driver for Swift Packing Company for 21 years. He was also a well known and respected commercial fisherman for over 50 years. He is survived by two sons, Allan McDonald (Sandy) and Michael G. McDonald (Gail); one daughter, Diane Clay (David), all of Savannah; five grandchildren, Stacy Kirkland, April Proman, Kaleen Mallard, Pertina Hayes and Steven Monroe; three great- grandchildren and one brother, Charles Franklin McDonald. Visitation will be Monday, November 30, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating. Burial will be at Brickyard Cemetery on Ft. Argyle Road.
