Joe and Jeremy-
I saw Geri each week at hospice to visit and pray with her. She was so grounded and full of faith, and her love for her husband and son was abundantly evident. Although for only a short time, I feel blessed to have known such a wonderful lady. She was so thrilled to go home and I hope that her time at home was special for all of you. She will be with you always. My prayers are with you -- Terri Noble

Geri was my first boss out of college, and, although we only worked together for three years, she made a wonderful and lasting impression on my life. She was always kind, upbeat and fun. She dealt with people with an easy grace and genuineness that I've rarely seen since working with her 17 years ago. I visited her in the hospice and, not knowing what to expect, was a little nervous. Geri immediately put me at ease, complimenting me and telling me that she was feeling better and still had hope. I've learned so much from Geri and am forever grateful.

Jeremy,
I don't know what it is like to lose such a close relative as your mother, but I do know that it can't be easy. Just remember that you and your family are in my prayers constantly. Stay strong in your faith.

Jeremy,
I didn't know your mother, but I know what a fine son she has raised. On behalf of everyone at the Gainesville Aid Project, our prayers are with you and your dad. God will give you the strength you need to face the difficult days ahead. Remember: "Surely it is God who saves me, I will trust in Him and not be afraid, for the Lord is my stronghold and my sure defense, and He will be my Savior." We all love you.

As a journalist, I had the pleasure of working with Geri in two distinct communities and environments (print and Web). Geri was always prompt, always straight forward, always professional and always fun. Our prayers are with her family and her colleagues. She was an All-Star.
