To the Allen Family,

When my mom called and told me of this news I was floored. My prayers are with ther family. John was my manager at Sears in the hardware department but most of all a very dear friend. I'll always treasure those good ol days of getting together after work with the Hardware, Paint, Electronics and Appliance gang. I will never forget the man that bought us all together as a team.

Dear Sheila and Family,

I thank God that John was a very intricate part of my life. He was a great friend and I shall never forget when you were expecting DJ and the two of you drove back from New York to celebrate my 34th birthday! John will live on in the lives of his many friends as well as family. John is not "dead" because as believers we know that he has a new life in Glory. I can imagine him playing on the heavenly tennis court with Arthur Ashe and others! We will miss him dearly. My prayers are with you and the family..."To God Be The Glory For The Things He Has Done!"

May God continue to shower down blessings upon you and yours in this most difficult time.

Love,

Mary

Sheila, Devaki, and DJ,

I am truly sorry to hear of John's passing. You all are truly strong individuals because his sickness started at early on and whenever I came over you still smiled and still worked and still cared for him and GOD blessed all of you for that. Devaki graduated college and DJ is a little man as they think they are. His suffering is over and he is at rest now. Your struggle is over and you are at rest also. God will mend your broken heart and I know your smiles will continue as well.

The Lord has given rest to a person that was a fine example of family life and community standards. The hearts of John's wife and children have retained his wisdom and understanding. They are preserving his principles. His children were led in the right path and have not stumbled. His living was not in vain.

Dear Sheila and Family,

I greet you in the Powerful Name of Jesus,

Words are never enough to share in the loss of a love one. What God gives to us is His gift. How we care for what He gave us is our gift to Him. Remember that Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. So do not dispair for He is with you always.

Continue to trust in God and accept that this is His will.

Finally, I would ask that you reflect on Proverbs 3:5-6. Surely you will find comfort and peace.
