Marjorie Margie Cochran - TYBEE ISLAND - Marjorie Margie Nell Woodard Cochran of Tybee Island, formerly of Brunswick died peacefully on May 30th, 2012 at Memorial University Medical Center. She was born in 1935 in Laurens County, GA. Mrs. Cochran retired several years ago after working many years with Eckerd's Pharmacy. She was one of the last charter members of Chapel-by-the-Sea Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Cochran and parents, Ernest and Beatrice Woodard. She is survived by her son, Richard Michael Cochran (Kellie) of Brunswick; her daughter, Debra Akins (Ricky) of Mayesville; three brothers, Royce Woodard (Terry) and Garey Woodard (Nita) all of Tybee Island, and Randall Woodard (Linda) of Orange, CA; three sisters, Wilma Woodard of Wilmington Island, Willaunell Woodie Williams (Charlie) and Denise Winn (Randy) of Tybee Island; her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held to celebrate and remember Margie's life on Sunday, June 10th at 1 o'clock at Chapel-by-the-Sea Baptist Church conducted by The Reverend Dr. David C. Laughner.
