Max Fields: The man with the big eyebrows and the BIG heart. A gentleman that would speak his mind with passion and conviction. A jew with compassion for the oppressed and contempt for the oppressors. A very good actor that was very humble about the gift G-d gave him.
I will remember the examples he and Settie (now and forever united in heaven)made as a couple for me and my wife, Karla, to emulate. Max and Settie Fields were among the best people to know in a little town called Fairmont. They're laughs were as distinctive as the jewish community that once was a part of my life.
I am blessed to of known them.

Harvey and Ilene and families, Memories are still abound about the Jewish families of Fairmont. Your father (and mom) were always available to every one of the families in time of need. I will remember Zettie and Max in my prayers, and hope you will remember those years in Fairmont Jewish Community Center as a way of life and heritage. Shalom.
