Reba L. Scott Allen - SAVANNAH - Reba L. Scott Allen, 96, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Azalealand Nursing Center. The daughter of Jadie Mae Lamb and Tom New, she was born October 4, 1914, in Louisville, Georgia. Her Father, Stepfather George Cox, Mother Jadie, and two stepbrothers have predeceased her. Reba married Randolph R. Scott in 1935. They had three children that survived her; H. Hugh Scott (Alberta) Savannah, Jimmy N. Scott (Paige), Guyton, daughter Joyce Floyd (Johnny), Lilburn, GA. 7 Grandchildren; Michael Scott (Robin), Paul Scott, Savannah, GA; Shawn Scott (Sally), Guyton, GA., Stephen Scott (Stacie) Savannah, GA., Dr. Randall Floyd (Shannon) Hillsborough, North Carolina, Dr. Pamela Floyd, Alpharetta, GA., and Bradley Floyd, Lilburn, GA. Seven great grandchildren from this union. She was a member of Pooler First Baptist Church and a member of the Win One Sunday School Class in Pooler. In Savannah, she attended Bible Baptist Church and was a member of the Master's Sunday School Class. Reba worked for Trade Winds Seafood until 1972 and after Randolph Scott's death in 1972, she worked for Georgia Regional Hospital as a dietician until retirement. In 1977, she married C. Lamar Allan, they resided in Faulkville and Savannah, GA. until his death in 2007. She is survived by a stepson, John Allen of Richmond Hill, GA., and stepdaughter, Bobbie Allen Clemens (Clarence) of Albemarle, N.C. Five step-grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and a stepsister, Frances Crawford of Jacksonville, Fla. Visitation: 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Chapel, with Rev. Otis Hill, Dr. Randall Floyd, and Dr. John Rainwater, officiating.
