I have a wonderful memory about Sabrina...my mom lived next door and one day she fell and broke her hip. I couldnt get into the house (chain lock was on) and Sabrina helped me to break into the window. She also assisted me with my mom when we found her on the bathroom floor. Sabrina was a selfless person, very sweet and caring. She is missed!!

Dear Simmons Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I never had the pleasure of knowing Sabrina. The car accident happened in my driveway, my boyfriend and I were the first on the scene. I would really like to know how Sabrinas mother is doing, I'd appreciate it if someone could email me @ [email protected]. It would just be nice to hear that she is okay and doing well. I think about the 2 of them often. Their faces will never leave my mind. Again, I am so very sorry for your loss.

I read the news today in the Blair bulletin. I was 2 years behind Sabrina at both Blair and Tulane. She was so kind, genuine and welcoming. I am so sorry.

I met Sabrina when I was visiting my niece, Amy Whiteley and her husband Vince in Savannah. I will always remember Sabrina's story about twisting both ankles just days before her wedding, running downstairs to answer the door for the UPS man with wedding presents. My heart goes out to all of her family and friends.

I first met Sabrina when she was a toddler at the Presbyterian church in Cambridge, MA. She was so beautiful! I can still see that lovely child in the picture here. We grieve with you, dear friends of Sabrina's. We are so sorry for this loss.

I knew Jack and Sebrina in New Orleans 15 years ago. She was a part of a very special group of people I had the pleasure of calling friends. Always friendly, encouraging, and loving – special does not do her justice. Reading all the wonderful comments – she truly touched people’s lives. I feel confident her memory will live on in her children, who will walk in her footsteps. They learned by example from wonder parents. I can only hope and pray that all of us can be encouraged to do the same – be a person that makes a difference. My thought and prayers are will all of you, and all of you who knew her.

I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Sabrina and her girls at our Saturday morning "ladies soccer club" at Daffin Park. She was one of the very first people I met when I moved to Savannah. What a beautiful lady. Mary and Savannah, you must always remember how much your mom loved you and how fiercely and passionately she worked to make your lives as good as they could be. I cannot believe she is no longer with us. Some people say that God must have needed her in heaven more than we needed her here, but I don't believe that at all. I think God's heart is as broken as ours. My life was made richer just knowing her. All my prayers to your family during this time.

I remember the first day I met Sabrina at Skirt magazine. We shared an office, and we shared laughter! She was one of the most warm and thoughtful friends I have ever met. Please accept my deepest condolences for your sudden and tragic loss. I knew Sabrina and her family quite well during the 70’s when they lived in the Boston, MA area. We attended the same church. I just heard of Sabrina’s passing a few minutes ago and, frankly, I was quite shaken. Yet in all this darkness, God is good. Having just lost my wife two months ago, I can appreciate the depth of the hole in your soul that you must feel. I extend my condolences to Stephanie and Don as well.

What a bright, beautiful human life. What a huge hole torn in the heart of things. Sabrina endures as a sterling treasure: spirited, compassionate, creative and genuine. I will miss seeing Sabrina ride her bike w/ hair flowing, GORGEOUS smile and gentle "Hello's" when on her way to pick up Savannah and Mary from CEMA each day. I am thankful for the times we shared waiting for our kids, at parties and Sand Gnat games. I have a beautiful image of her sharing a pink cotton candy w/ her girls in my head. She taught me inner peace just by being in her presence. Many prayers to her family.
