I want you to know that over 10 years later there still comes times when I think back about the relationship between Walter and I. He was a rare pure spirit filled with only good intentions and to this day, I hope that my heart will one day be as pure as his. The mark he left on me has made me a better person and I thank him for that.

Dear Signal Family,
Our family wanted to express our sympathy for your loss. Our daughter Kailey was in Walter's class the last two years. He was a precious child and meant alot to Kailey. We know some of what you are feeling we too lost our son two months ago today. We were blessed to have our angel for twelve precious days. I hope you have comfort in knowing Walter is with our lord Jesus and that he is looking down on you until you meet him at heaven's gates. I know I can't wait to see my angel again! I wish I could tell you the worst is over but I can't , everyday is a new day with struggles harder than the day before but Jesus holds our hands and walks us through them. My Child, DeAnna goes to Pryme Tyme with Timmy and Walter. I have had the honor to meet both of them. Also Sara. They are the most heart loving and freindly kids I have ever meet. Walter was an Angel sent down from heaven for you to love and endure for all the years you had him. He is right now without a doubt at the feet of our Savior. but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;

The Signal Family,
Our family was saddened to hear the news that Walter had died. We knew Walter through Basketball. Andrew played on Walter's team. Aaron also knows Sarah through school. We just wanted to tell you that we are praying for your family and that we feel that it was an honor to know Walter. May God give you the strength that you will need to endure this.

Walter was such a wonderful child. Their are so many words that describe him. Most of all very spiritual and full of laughter and love. He would do silly stuff to make my son Kameron laugh. They were very close in fact Kam would even come home from school acting like him. I would have to ask are you Walter or Kam he would chuckle. I've spent a lot of time in their class with them and came very attached most of all I will miss giving him my carrots at lunch and watching him make my Kam laugh. He will be sadly missed but not forgotten. The lord bless all of us when he made Walter. We know he is watching over us. Your family will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

I remember seeing Walter in Taekwondo class with my son Nicholas. And I have thought of him very much in the past few days. I can only imagine your grief. Walter was such a bright and loving child. He came into our lives on that August morning in Mrs. Jan and Mrs. Eden's class. Walter was one of Victoria's classmates. Walter and Victoria has shared the same teacher each year. What a blessing it was last Easter, when your family hosted Mrs. Penney's class Easter party. Walter was so proud to show us his home and he loved his family so. He will be sadly missed, but he will always have a place in our heart. We know that he is with Our Heavenly Father and is in a much better place. And I know that the days ahead are going to be hard, but I also know that your Faith in God will keep you strong.

Dear Signal Family,
Walter is going to be missed by so many. He was a true blessing with that bright smile that was always on his face. Walter was a testimony to the wonderful job that you did as parents. The fact that his last book checked out at the library says it all. My son, Ben will always remember him and know that the good Lord has Walter right by Him in heaven. He is such an angel.
