Michael W. Diogostine - APOPKA, FL - Michael W. Diogostine, 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 2, 2014 surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Waterbury, CT, August 23, 1943 he was the youngest son to Joseph Sr. and Philomena (Pomponio). He was preceded in death by his parents and niece Deborah. Michael is survived by his children, Nicholas, Anisa (Wayne) Grantham, and Michael, his siblings, Joseph Jr. (Janice), Lucille (Bill) French and Patricia (Kevin) McNerney, He was Poppy to his grandchildren, Miranda and Jada and Melissa and Matthew - with 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and many friends. The family would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to his special friends Tammy Herzberg and Bob Thomas and their families- we love you for the love you shared with Michael. Michael graduated from Kaynor Technical High School in 1961. He was employed as an auto mechanic before relocating to Orlando FL where he worked as a well-respected Service and Parts Director for the next 25 years and retired in 2006 from Royal Volkswagen. His work was awarded by National Auto Dealers Association. He was a passionate man who touched the lives of those around him and will be sadly missed.
