Jeffery Mark Scott - RICHMOND HILL - Jeffery Mark Scott, 56, passed away suddenly on July 4, 2014. Mark was born in Savannah, GA on October 29, 1957. He was a graduate of Savannah Christian School and attended Armstrong State and Phoenix University. After college, Mark was employed by Savannah Electric and transferred to Georgia Power. He has been with the two companies for 29 years. His latest years were in the Meter Department as a Meter Specialist. Mark served two terms with Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church as a deacon. He loved his family, church family, and would try to conquer anything that was put in front of him. Mark is survived by his mother, Charlotte D. Scott and a sister, Dianna L. Scott; 9 cousins and several nieces and nephews. Mark is preceded in death by his father, Leon W. Scott. The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, July 7 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church with Rev. Don Dilley officiating. A procession will follow to Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mark Scott Memorial Fund, c/o Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church, 12965 Hwy 144, Richmond Hill, GA 31324.
