Lewis R. Womack - SAVANNAH - Lewis R. Womack, 86, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Hospice Savannah. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Betty Youmans Womack; a daughter, Gena Bullard; a granddaughter Lisa Dewberry and two sisters. Lewis was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Merchant Marines and the U. S. Coast Guard and was retired from Continental Can Company. He is survived by a daughter and son in law, Susan and Paul Dewberry of Midway, GA; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; very special friends, Ken and Diane Huffman, Mildred Robbin. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 2:00p.m. in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park with Rev Malcolm Wiggly officiating.
