Mr. Hickman Bamburg, Jr. - POOLER - Mr. Hickman Bamburg, Jr., 72, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at his home. He was born in Savannah to the late Hickman Bamburg, Sr. & Ida Boulineau Bamburg. He was also preceded in death by a son, Trey Bamburg. He retired from Interstate Paper Co. in Riceboro, GA after over 40 years of service. He was an active member with the Dixie Land Cruisers Car Club. His 1928 yellow Model A car was his pride and joy. Survivors include his wife, Shirley McDonald Bamburg; children, Kim Bamburg Smith and Brian Bamburg; grandchildren, C.J. B. McCluskey, Chelsea B. Rice, Ryan Smith, Bracen Bamburg, Baylon Bamburg, and David Cole Jacobs; great-grandchild, Haven Smith, and lots of beloved nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
