Michael Francis Sharp - PEMBROKE - Michael Francis Sharp CW4 (Ret), 66, of Pembroke, GA entered eternal rest on August 11, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones. A native of Waterloo, Iowa- Mike enlisted in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and retired a highly decorated solider after 20yrs of dedicated service to his country. Mike was an Aviator instructor who flew Huey's and Cobras during his tour of duty in Vietnam. After Mike retired, he joined Lifestar at Air methods in Savannah as a Medevac Pilot and has celebrated his 25th year with Lifestar. Not only did Mike continue to save lives every day after his tour in Vietnam but he touched the lives of many. Mike is a devoted husband, Father, Friend and would give the shirt off of his back to anyone without a question. Mike loved to tinker and fix things in his shop aka the Man Cave. He enjoyed afternoons fishing with his Wife, Shopping at Alco for As seen on TV items, wood working, restoring old cars, loved all the animals/pets on the Farm and as we all know - you would never see him without a cigarette and a cold one in his hand. Most importantly, he could never get enough of spending time with his family. Mike is survived by his Wife, Karen Sharp, his beloved Sons- Aaron & Catherine (wife of Aaron) Sharp, Brent Sharp, Sister - Kathie Sage and son the of the late Roger Sharp and Lea Sharp, who survives. Step Children are Amara Minnicks-Bennett, Amber & Curt Minchey, Autumn Minnicks, Andy & Rachel Minnicks, Alex & Jen Minnicks. Grandchildren of Mike and Karen are: Samantha, Alexandria, Elijah and Delilah Sharp, Julian & Avery Minchey and Lola Minnicks. Memorial Service will be held at The Farm of Mike and Karen, 200 Indian Trail, Pembroke GA 31321 on August 14th at 7pm.
