Mr. Homer Ray Bennett, Jr. - SAVANNAH - Mr. Homer Ray Bennett, Jr., age 88, passed away Monday at Hospice Savannah. He was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah, GA. Mr. Bennett worked in the carpentry business for many years. He was a member of Radiant Life Christian Fellowship Church where he was active in Sunday school and the Seniors group. Mr. Bennett was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served during WWII and Korea. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his children, Virginia B. (Cary) Gaffney of Bluffton, SC, Dianne (Frank) Biezenbos of Richmond Hill, and Sandra (Gordon Reilly) Kennedy of Yulee, FL, Patricia B. (William) Butler of Tomball, Texas; the mother of his children, Zuleime F. Bennett of Bluffton, SC; his adopted son, Jonathan (Sharon) Brown of Savannah; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Radiant Life Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. David Stanton officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Life Bridge Inner City, P.O.
