Walter Craven Coward, III - SAVANNAH - Walter Craven Coward, III, 50, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born August 30, 1959 in Savannah. Walter was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where he was involved in the music program with the youth. He loved to sing, play guitar and write music. He was the lead guitar player in the Walton James Band in Atlanta and was a 1977 graduate of Benedictine Military School. He is survived by his parents, Walter C. Coward, Jr. and Dolores Lynn Coward, of Savannah, his brother and sister-in-law, Edward S. and Rebecca Coward, of Ohio, his former wife, Loren Coward, of Orlando, Florida, one aunt, Cynthia Coward, of Savannah, one uncle, Rev. W.H. Lynn, of Virginia, three nieces, two nephews and many other family and friends.Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2010 at Grace United Methodist Church with the Reverend Michael Culbreth and the Reverend Johnny Hathaway officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 6412 Waters Ave, Savannah, GA 31406.
