Cindy,
I don't know if you remember me or not, but I can remember from years ago coming into the store on Waters Avenue and the smile that was on your dad's face all of the time. What a happy person! I lost my dad almost 27 years ago and still miss him. Our prayers are with you and your family at this time. Maybe we can get together sometime when I am in Savannah. We are there about once a month.
Love to you all

To the Wiley Family ...
To say that Mr. Harold will be missed is a tremendous understatement. He was one of the first people we met at Asbury. His "outgoing personality," especially in his role as a main greeter at Asbury, kept us coming back for more. No matter what might have been going on his life, he always greeted us with kind words, a huge smile, open arms, and a hug that ranks pretty close to the top of a "Best Hugs" list.
Getting to know Mr. Harold, and other "Elderberries," we quickly began to understand the culture and vision of Asbury; after all, these were the people who kept it alive, when so many others would have left it to die. Because of the faith of Mr. Harold and other Elderberries, Asbury "arose" and today so many of us benefit from its colorful history.
We are sad that Mr. Harold is no longer right here with us. On the other hand, we know that there was a great celebration on February 1st when Mr. Harold walked, with a big smile on his face, through the Gates of Heaven, came face to face with his Lord and Savior, and then began to hug all his family and friends who arrived before him.
Today we celebrate you, Mr. Harold. We love you for the life you lived and the example you set for us. May we all strive to reach the level of godliness you achieved!
Until we meet again,

I have many fond memories of finding enough pennies to walk to the store on Georgia Ave. to buy candy and seeing your father with his great smile! Sorry to hear about his passing but know he is sitting at the feet of Jesus.

I had the pleasure of crossing paths with Harold and his two daughters while my mother, Carla Chambers, was a patient at Azalealand. There was hardly ever a time when one of the girls wasn't there - taking him outside or just being there with him for hours on end. Such devotion is rare and I send my loudest applause to you both. Your dad was a 'pistol' and kept us all smiling. My condolences to the family. He will be missed but we find comfort in knowing he is released from the chains.
