Ralph Douglas Brannen - PEMBROKE - Ralph Douglas Brannen, 70, of Pembroke, GA, passed away November 21, 2012 after an extended illness. He grew up in Bulloch County and lived in Savannah for many years before returning to Bulloch County in 2006. He is predeceased by his father, Allen Joseph Brannen, his mother, Ethel Futch Brannen, his step mother, Libby Brannen, a sister, Karen Denton, a brother, Edwin Allen Joey Brannen, and a daughter, Marisa Elizabeth Brannen. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Merle Hart Brannen, two sons Douglas Allen Brannen and Anthony Tony Maurice (Jami) Brannen of Garden City, and a daughter Jenna Victoria Brannen of Pembroke, brother, Allen Joseph (Cathy) Brannen, Jr. of Springfield, GA. Two sisters, Pam Wagner of Richmond Hill, GA and Brenda (David) Carter of Rincon, GA, two grandchildren, Taylor and Katelyn Brannen and several nieces and nephews. He retired after 30 years with Gulfstream Aerospace and was a fan of classic cars and auto racing. He was a member of Frank F. Baker Lodge of Garden City, the Scottish Rite, Alee Temple Shriners, and the First Baptist Church of Garden City. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Funeral: 12:30 p.m., Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
