Odell Heidt Wise - SAVANNAH - Odell Heidt Wise, 90, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Odell was born in Marlow to the late Jacob Ray Heidt & Willie Lee Cochran Heidt. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Joseph D. Doc Wise; son, Ray Wise; brother, Ewell Heidt and sisters, Margaret Mooney, Birdie Strickland and Sonia Seibert. She was a 75 year member of Calvary Baptist Temple where she attended the Love Class. She was a devoted wife, mother and a helpmate to her husband as co-owner of Wise's Gulf Service on Ogeechee Road. She lived her life as an example that she had hoped was pleasing to her Lord and Savior. Survivors include two sons and three daughters-in-law, Joe & Julie Wise of Charleston, SC, Charles A & Cindy Wise of Savannah and Barbara Wise of Savannah; grandchildren and spouses, Randy & Debbie Wise of Decatur, Jason Wise of Savannah, Suzanne Wise of Astoria, NY, John David Wise of Baton Rouge, LA, Courtney & Jonathan McComb of Woodstock and Emily Jean Wise of Savannah; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Wise of Decatur and Samuel McComb of Woodstock; sisters, Minnie Butler, Doris Wallace and Mary Harden, all of Pooler, Maree Patrick of Bloomingdale, Amelia Dominy of Rincon and Lida Peth of Marlow; brother and sister-in-law, Charlie & Melinda Heidt of Marlow and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Effingham County.
