James Lane Obituary

James Carlton Lane - SAVANNAH - James Carlton Lane, 76, of Savannah, GA died Monday, March 4, 2013 St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Savannah, GA, and was preceded in death by his first wife of 24 years, Sandra Tullos Lane. He was a member of Windsor Forest Baptist Church, and served in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was retired from American Cyanamid/Kemira after 37 years of service to the Company. He was Past Master of Zerubbabel Lodge # 15, F. & A.M's, and had been a Master Mason for the past 50 years. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Consistory - Valley of Savannah, and was a Knight Commander of the Court of Honour of the 32nd Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, and a member of Alee Temple, where he was President of the Antique Classic Car Club. He was a member of the Black Creek Golf Club, he enjoyed the outdoors, shrimping, crabbing, and cast netting. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jackie Johnson Lane, of Savannah, GA; 2 sons, James Jimmy C. (Elizabeth Best) Lane of Savannah, GA; Michael (Ronda) Lane of Nashville, TN; 2 brothers, Kenny Lane (Sherrie) of Savannah, GA; Rev. Robert Bob Lane (Kay) of Madison, MS; sister in law, Dianne B. Lane; brother in law, Ray Vernon Tullos of Atlanta, GA; 2 grandchildren, Allison Taylor Lane and Brody Carsten Lane; a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation: Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fairhaven Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
