Blakewood Ramsey Ryals - MIDWAY - Blakewood Ramsey Ryals, 83, passed away Friday, March 29 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah. He was born in Savannah and lived there most of his life. He was a retired electrician from Dixie Crystal in Savannah. He invested in and managed timber and was a good steward of the land. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served in the AC&W Squadron during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Savannah. His sister, Yvonne Ryals Murray preceded him in death. Survivors are two sisters, Mary Arthur Rozier of Midway and Virginia Dare Rozier of Hinesville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Sunday, March 31 at the Walthourville Baptist Church with Rev. John Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Wayfarer Cemetery in McIntosh County. Active pallbearers will be Harold Rozier, Jr., Mike Cave, Wayne Rozier, Bud Frankenthaler, Arthur Rozier, and Norman Rozier.
