Charles A. Fleming - NASHVILLE, TN - Charles A. Fleming (March 26, 1911-August 10, 2013) husband of the late Lovie Stout of Nashville. Predeceased by Father Charles A Fleming, Sr and Mother Julia Theodora Spann, brother Arthur Thomas Fleming all of Savannah, Ga. Survived by daughter, Nancy Fleming Willems ( Antenor) of Pittsburgh, Pa, son, Charles (Chuckie) Fleming, Jr of Nashville. granddaughters , Julie Passodelis (Michael) and Amy Fleming Molenda (Thomas) Greatgrandchildren, Michael, Nicholas Charles, Lindsay Lovie and Thomas, all of Pittsburgh. Also survived by nephews and nieces Michael Joseph Fleming (Helen Marie), Arthur Thomas Fleming,Jr. (Trudi) , Sandra Pinckney of Wilmington, NC Shirley Humphries (Fred)and a great grandnephew Tucker Booth all of Savannah. He is also survived by nephew, Jim Stoutt (Sharon) and niece Jane Stoutt Drolick And other nieces, nephews all of Nashville, Tn. He was a communicant of Christ the King parish for over 70 years. He was a Graduate of Benedictine Military Academy in Savannah, Ga and graduated with a BS in Ceramic Engineering from Georgia Tech University. He was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was attached to the 3rd Army HQ in Europe during WW II. He received the Bronze Star and retired as a Lt.Col. He was active in the Nashville Kennel Club, the Bull Terrier Club of Southern States and one of the first members of The Bull Terrier Club of America. At the time of his death he was still an active member of the Military Officers Association of America. He was a life member of American Ceramic Society. He was the oldest graduate of Benedictine, Georgia Tech, Phi Kappa Sigma Honorary pallbearers are Michael., Nicholas Charles Passodelis, Thomas Molinda, great grandsons. Tom Molinda, Michael Passodelis, Michael Fleming, Jim Stoutt, E. Wyatt Allen, Martin T Poe, Jr, And Staff Sgt.. Michael Drolick Services will be held at St Edward Catholic Church, Sept.7 Visitation at 9:30 and Mass at 10:30 followed by a military burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
