Freeman A. Moore - SAVANNAH - Freeman A. Moore, born November 21, 1919 in Wrightsville, GA to the late Ralston Augustus Moore and Maxie Irene Moore. Freeman retired from Cyanamid and Kemira as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a member of the VFW Post #660, George K. Ganem American Legion Post #184, Landrum Lodge #48, F. & A.M's, and the Scottish Rite Consistory, Valley of Savannah and the Loyal Order of the Elks. He loved to cook, dance and spoke fluent Italian. Freeman served in WWII in both North Africa and Italy Campaigns. He was awarded a Bronze Star V Device for Heroism. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Savannah. Freeman is preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy, Cecil and Harold Moore and sister, Mary Moore. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Saunders (Dale); son, Gus Moore; grandsons, Chris and Nick McBride (Leslie). He also leaves to cherish his memory many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Savannah, Inc., 1352 Eisenhower Dr., Savannah, GA 31406.
