Looking back now on our young lives while growing up through grade school and high school on Badillo Street, (just 3 doors down from the Carter Family), brings back some "great memories". Archie, Hearl, and Earl were unquestionably the neighborhood tough guys that "no one" messed with. . . . All three were strong, athletic, and ready to compete or stand up for whatever they believed in. The one thing that I do remember the most about them though is that whether is was during a dirt clod fight when we were all very young, shooting baskets in our back yard as teens, swimming, or vying for the attention of the neighborhood girls, I was always comfortable when they were around. They obviously had been taught good moral values, and were very respectful to us others. From the first time I entered their home and met their Mom, Dad, and Archie it was clear to me even as a kid where Hearl and Earl were taught these traits. They were part of a Close, Loving and Caring Family. . . . . Thank You Earl for the Values which you planted in my heart so long ago. . . . . A lesson for us all to strive for in our own lives! . . . . . . God's Eternal Peace to You and All of the Carter Family!

My Prayers for Earl, that He has found Eternal Peace in The Arms of Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ.
As nearby neighbors to the Carter Family, living just 3 doors away on Badillo in the 50's and 60's, My sisters Diana & Janis and I very much enjoyed those times during our younger years spent with Earl, his Brother Hearl, Sherry Osborne, Dale and Wayne McKee, John Cloud, The Matus's, Terry Catania, The Stabile's, Ray and John Paterson, Virginia Maples,Vicki Pence,. . . and Others from the nearby neighborhoods. Looking back now, it's easy to see how Earl and Hearl, and in fact their parents included, did much to help teach us youngsters about Family, Respect, and learning to get along together. . . .
Those were indeed pretty wonderful times!
My Sincere Condolences to The Carter Family . . . From The Storts Family
