Not sure what to say?

Dearest Jon,

My prayers are with you and your family.
From the time I met you, you honored the love of your mom with your respectful behavior to everyone around you. I know how much the respect of family was taught and shared to you. You have always been the man any mother would be proud to have raised. She was a very special woman. Your daughters are blessed to have such an example in their lives.

Love and Peace be with you my dear friend,

Vickie Leon

To my precious Mother-in-Law,

God blessed me 5 years ago with this amazing family! The love you expressed to me and my daughters (and Sadie (the puppy))was more than I/we could have ever earned, expected or asked for. I thank you so much for sharing your son, your family and your life with me. Your smile and sense of humor always made my day! You did an amazing job raising your babies and taking care of your family! God is blessing you right now as I write this! I know He is! ? Tell that dear man you waited almost 2 years to see that we love him and miss him and are happy you two are together again. :) You both will be missed beyond any words that can be express...We rest in knowing we will all see each other again in the presence of the Holy One. Thank you for being a grandma to Ashley, Brianna and Kayla. They love you so very much and are thankful you loved them like your own! Rest in Peace sweet lady and know you live on through all of us! Hugs and kisses!
Love always,

Mary Minard

Jon & Sandy, you and your families are in my heart and my prayers during this difficult time.
Having the chance to know your mom over the last 25 years has been a true joy, and as Willie would reflect on his early years, the stories of your mom were shared. A person's life and values are reflected in her children and grandchildren. You both, along with your children are a great reflection of that love, and the enthusiasm your mom had for family, friends, and life in general.

May the memories of life with your mom carry you through this difficult time. Know that she continues to watch over you, guiding you.
Love to you all,

Mary Anne Ortega

Sandy, you and your family will be in my family prayers as you go through this loss. Just remember, God is with you and will always be there for you. Turn to him when times get difficult. I promise you there will be a time when there will be laughs instead of tears; wonderful memories instead of grief. Virginia Flanagin and Family (Redlands, CA)

Mima,

I will always miss you. It makes me sad to think that I will not be able to see your smile, hear your laugh, or get hugs and kisses from you until I get to see you in heaven. But I am happy that you are not in pain anymore and that you don't have to miss grandpa anymore. I'm sure that you and grandpa are having the best time in heaven and you two can finally spend time together once again. I like to imagine the two of you eating doughnuts and drinking coffee together in heaven, sharing stories about all of us and the moments we shared with both of you. I'm going to miss the moments when we would make lasagna together and when you would tell Bobby and I stories about when you were young. We always had fun spending time with you and I'm going to miss going to your house to see you. It's difficult to believe that you won't be just a 20 minute drive away from us anymore. Even though you're far away in heaven now, you're actually not that far from us. Because I will always have you in my heart wherever I go and I know that you will always be watching over us. I love you so very much, my Mima. More than you will ever know. I'm blowing you lots of kisses from here on earth and sending them to heaven, where you are now.

La quiero con toda mi alma y con todo mi corazón,

Mama,

I miss you very much! But there are things that comfort me and make me smile during this difficult time. I know you are with God. That is of course the most important thing that comes to mind. I know you are with Dad, your parents, your sister and so many other family members and friends who passed away over the years. I know you are free of that horrible cancer, diabetes and the pain caused from so many other ailments. I know that when anyone asks you how you are today…you will honestly be able to tell them that you are well and be able to say it with a smile upon your face. You can finally experience peace…

Mom, your life was all about trying to please everyone. Being in the company of your family, friends, neighbors, pets (strays/abandoned animals), and your plants/flowers is what made you happy. You were the Master Chef! You always sought out different recipes and prepared amazing meals and desserts for everyone. I haven't found anyone who can make Mexican (pink) rice better than you on this planet!

You were the best Grandmother…better known as “Mima” to Marissa and Mackenzie. You and Dad would drive to my house in the early morning hours to take over so I could go to work. You bathed them, fed them all of their favorite foods (Mickey Mouse pancakes, chicken, rice, beans, “caldito” (when they were sick or just because they wanted it). Later on, you met Mary and you immediately knew she was the woman for me. You gave me your blessing and when Mary and I were married, you gained three more granddaughters, Ashley, Brianna and Kayla. They all love and miss you very much!

I always knew how much you loved Sandy and I. There was never any doubt! You took the best care of us and taught us how to provide that same care to others. Over the past few days I have discovered you saved every card we ever gave you, every picture we've given you, every drawing I ever drew for you, every business card for every job/position we have ever held, etc.

Rest easy Mama…you did your job and you did it very well! Know that we all love you and miss you, but we will all be OK.

Te quiero con todo mi corazon,

Tu hijo,

Jon
