Celia Escobar Celia Escobar born July 12, 1929, entered into eternal life June 21, 2016 in Redlands, CA. Life time resident of Colton. Survived by her children: Frances Gonzales (Eddie), Sylvia Barraza (Alex), Davey Escobar, Billy Escobar (Erma), and Georgie Escobar (Virgie). 14 grandchildren and several great grand- children. Preceded in death by husband David Escobar, brother Robert Saenz, sisters, Nellie Reyna, Ruth Gomez and Isabel Ayres. Memorial and funeral will be held on June 30th at 11AM at Hermosa cemetery, interment immediately following.

Jess Marquez November 2, 1952 - June 17, 2016 Jess Marquez, 63, passed away on June 17, 2016. Jess was born on November 2, 1952 to Jesus 0. & Julia Marquez. Mr. Marquez is survived by his wife of 46 years, Yolanda. Jess also leaves behind two sons, Jesse (Sheryl) Marquez and Jerry Marquez and two grandchildren, Kane and Macy. Nunes, Lawrence Richard.  
January 14, 1954 - June 24, 2016 Richard was Field Supervisor for Southern Cal Edison. Richard lived by the phrase, ?Work Hard, Play Harder.? He enjoyed work very much, but he enjoyed his time with his family more. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Sharon, and was always ready for the next big adventure. Richard will always be remembered by his calming demeanor, smile and his infectious laugh. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Sharon, of 42 years, his sons Kevin and Kris, wife Tawyna and his grandchildren Connor and Alexis, his parents Frank and Alice Nunes, his brother, Doug, and his sons Justin and Joshua, and mother-in-law Irene Borba. October 17, 1927 - June 30, 2016 Marie Bell was born on October 17, 1927 to Rachel Sutton in Sumter, South Carolina. She passed away from natural causes on Monday, June 20, 2016 in Montclair, CA. Marie was preceded in death by her Mother, Rachel Jones and her Husband of 67 years Roscoe D. Bell, Jr. Marie is survived by her nine children: Roscoe Bell III; DiAnna Williams; James Bell; Robert Bell; Gerald Bell; Sharon Mastrangelo; Melinda Rivera; Michael Bell and Sandra Bell; as well as 25 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. Walter (Woody) G. Mummery, Jr. Walter (Woody) G. Mummery, Jr., 79, passed away on June 26, 2016, in Highland, CA. Walter was a lifelong resident of the San Bernardino area. He served in the National Guard and spent his working career as an electrician/sign installer. Woody is preceded in death by his parents Walter G. Mummery, Katherine Reinhardt and grandson Taylor Imbriani. He is survived by Janet, his loving wife. Also surviving him is his daughter Saundra (Rich) Imbriani; his four granddaughters: Macy, Carly, Demi, Keeli and one great grandson Cole; his siblings Kathleen Daugherty and Kenneth Mummery. Yeakel, Arthur  
Arthur Yeakel Arthur Yeakel, 89, of Highland, California, passed away peacefully June 17, 2016. He was born in Vera Cruz, Pennsylvania on January 30, 1927. Arthur graduated from Emmaus High School. He was married to Margaret Dudick on June 17, 1950. Arthur worked as a carpenter, postal carrier, security at San Bernardino Community Hospital and had a career in Law Enforcement for the San Bernardino Police Department, retiring after 18 years. He was a member of American Legion/PERS, and had a passion for woodwork, gardening, baseball and current events. He was survived by Daughters Theresa, Patricia and Susanna, Son-In Law David, Predeceased Son Michael Sean Yeakel, Grandchildren Kelly and Megan Gilbreath, Brothers Richard and Chester Yeakel, Predeceased Brothers Charles and Howard Yeakel, also survived by many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Service will be private however a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.

June 22, 1955 - June 07, 2016 Dr. David ?Dave? E. Bealer passed away in Yuma, Arizona on June 7, 2016. Dave was born June 22, 1955 in Fontana, CA. Dave was a graduate of United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Dave was a Naval Aviator and Top Gun Graduate. After 23 years of service, Dave retired as a Naval Commander in Lemore, CA. After retiring from the Navy, Dave began a career in education as a teacher. He later transitioned into administration, serving as principal of Lake Gregory Elementary School in Crestline, CA. Dave continued his education obtaining his Doctoral Degree from USC. He then accepted a position at San Pasqual Valley School District, where he had been working for the last 5 years as superintendent. Dave cherished quality time with his wife, family, friends, and pets. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Kelly, and was always up for their next big adventure. Dave will be remembered for his kind heart and calming demeanor. Dave was a natural born leader, which he demonstrated in all aspects of his life. Dave is survived by his loving wife Kelly Bealer and his children Stephanie Bealer and Michael Bealer, his father Ellis Bealer, his brother Tim Bealer, his sister Cathy Gorsuch, his three stepsons Chet Hower, Jared Hower and Hayden Hower and his grandchildren, Allister, Aria, Bennett, Elliot and Isaac. Coble, Alice Davern  
Alice Davern Coble Alice Davern Coble passed peacefully in her sleep after a short illness. At close to 93 years of age, she was fond of saying she had a wonderful life and had been able to do and see so much! Alice is survived by two daughters, Susie (Ron Robrahn) of Colorado Springs and Barb (Harm LaRue) of Victoria, BC, Canada, two grand- daughters and two great grand- daughters - Alicia LaRue and daughter Harmony of Port Alberni, BC, Canada and Heather LaRue and daughter Azalynn of Victoria, BC. She is also survived by her sister in law Joann (John) Davern and many nieces and nephews. Her husband of forty seven years, Robert B. Coble, Sr. and her son, Robert B. Coble, Jr. (Corky) predeceased her. She was the last survivor of her five brothers and sisters Bernard Davern, Bill Davern (Bette), Frances Davern (Joe) Seman, Elizabeth Davern (Boyd) Johannes, and John Davern. She was born in Decatur, IL in 1923 and graduated from Decatur High School. She married Bob in 1947 in Decatur, having been introduced by an army buddy who was a friend of one of her brothers. Bob and Alice lived in upstate New York, Iowa, Ohio and California – moving to San Bernardino in 1963. After her children were older, Alice returned to the workforce, joining the staff of the new State College in San Bernardino in 1964. She worked in the computer center and retired as the operations manager in the early 1980s. Alice and Bob enjoyed playing bridge, square dancing, taking "rides", and later taking multiple cruises. Their square dancing produced lifelong friends and cruise buddies. They also enjoyed RVing in their 29 foot 5th Wheel – alone or with the San Bernardino Elks RV club. After Bob passed, Alice continued to take cruises with friends. She was active in the San Bernardino Women's Club, a local bridge group, the TOPS group at the Highland Senior Center, and the St. Bernardine Hospital Auxiliary. She was made a Life Member of the Auxiliary in 1995 and was very proud of that affiliation. At Alice's request, services are private.

Curran, Cecil Charles  
Cecil Charles Curran Cecil Charles Curran, 76, Highland, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away from natural causes in Loma Linda CA on June 11, 2016. Cecil was born in San Bernardino on July 27, 1939 to Elijah and Anna Elizabeth Curran. Youngest of six children, he graduated from Pacific High School in 1957. He owned Curran's Rubbish Disposal in San Bernardino with his brother Bill for over 30 years. Cecil was a respected and honest business person and a truly good man. In his younger years, Cecil raced cars in the Sportsman Division at the Orange Show Raceway. In his later years, he enjoyed traveling the country in his motor home, visiting his grandkids, building and refurbishing Smith- Miller toy trucks, watching sports on TV, and playing with his dog Belle. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Karen, Highland; daughter Linda, Stockton; son Ron and wife Becky, Redlands; sister Virginia and husband Chuck, Wrightwood; sister Barbara, San Bernardino; sister JoAnn, San Bernardino; and four grandkids Hannah, Rebekah, Andrew, and Jonathan of Stockton. He is preceded in death by his sister Betty and his brother Bill. At the family's request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heritage Gardens Assisted Living Facility 25271 Barton Rd, Loma Linda, CA 92354.

Dwiggins, Barbara S.  
July 30, 1917 - June 19, 2016 Barbara Summers Dwiggins, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on June 19, 2016. She was a resident of Highland, CA for over 50 years. Her husband, Thomas Logan Dwiggins, to whom she was married for 67 years, preceded her in death in November, 2006. Barbara was born in Riverside, CA to Harry B. and Dora W. Summers. She attended schools in Riverside, South Pasadena, and Los Angeles, graduating from the University of Southern California in 1939. Barbara was active in many service organizations on campus at USC and served as Chief Justice of the Women's Student Court in 1938. She was Treasurer and President of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at USC. At the time of her death, she had been a 72-year member of the PEO Sisterhood and was a Past President of Chapter GH, San Bernardino. Barbara worked for the California Employment Development Department for 18 years as an Employment Officer in the Redding, CA and San Bernardino offices, retiring in 1975. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas and son Donald Wright Dwiggins. She is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Morris Allen of Stockton, CA and daughter-in-law Judith Dwiggins of Anchorage, AK; five grandchildren: Joel Allen, Matthew Allen, Julia Allen Cary, Stacy Dwiggins Berg and Brian Dwiggins; and nine great grandchildren: Aubrey, Malachi, Lucy Jean and Joseph Allen; Sarah and Collette Cary; Skylar, Baylor and Ryland Berg. Services will be held on June 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Acheson & Graham. A private burial service will be held at Oliveview Cemetery in Riverside, CA where she will be buried next to her husband Tom. In lie of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
