BENEDICT J "LUCKY" VALUCKI

Benedict J "Lucky" Valucki passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at the age of 93, in Reseda, CA.

He was born November 28, 1920 in Chicago, IL to Joe and Anna Valucki. He was raised and educated in Chicago. He lived in Reseda ever since moving to California in 1950. Lucky was a veteran of WWII serving as a Staff Sgt. in the US Army 743rd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He participated in the New Guinea Campaign. Lucky retired in 1987 from the Lockheed Martin Corp. after 19 years as a Sub-Contract Administrator for the company. He was a long time and active member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #2190 in Canoga Park, CA and the American Legion Post 308 in Reseda, CA. He was an avid enthusiast of all sports. His favorite team was the LA Lakers. He loved all types of music and enjoyed reading anything mechanical, aeronautics or on fine cars. He was known as a master joke and story teller.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Lucy J Valucki. Lucky will be dearly missed by his many nieces & nephews, family, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #2190, 20925 Osborne St., Canoga Park, CA 91304. Inurnment will be private.
