Bruce Raymond Culver
Died Thursday, December 20, 2012. He was born on July 7, 1917 in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Bruce grew up in Montana and attended Bozeman State College. He left the Army in 1946 after 6 yrs. of service. Bruce graduated from the University of Washington in 1947 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He married Marjorie in 1948. They were together 57 years until her death in 2005. Bruce completed a Transportation Studies course at Yale in 1948/1949. He began his traffic engineering career at the City of Seattle. He joined Kiwanis in 1980 in Lynnwood, WA & was elected President in 1984. Bruce & Marge moved to Upland, CA in 2000 where he became involved with the Upland Foothill Kiwanis and became known as "the voice" because of his singing ability. He was an avid golfer, who played weekly up until he sank his last putt. He was a beloved father and grandfather to daughter, Trudi Fuhrmann and grandson, Christopher Fuhrmann. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Friday, 01/04/2013 at Stone Funeral Home, Upland. Private Interment at Acacia Memorial Park, Seattle, WA.
