Harold Arthur Lietzau

LIETZAU, Harold Arthur

Harold Arthur Lietzau, 94, passed away on November 23, 2012. He was born the youngest of 5 children in Cosmos,
Minnesota on April 1, 1918, to Albert and Emma (Kiecker) Lietzau. Harold married Frances Mary Taylor on June 7, 1941, settling in Los Angeles. In 1948, he and his growing family moved to Whittier, California where he started his own business, Lietzau Pattern Co., Inc. He served his community in numerous capacities throughout his life. After the death of his wife in 1988 and his retirement at age 70, he met and married Jean Good in 1990.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, his brothers, Johann Max (Jack), Robert Theodore, Herman (died in infancy), and, sister, Jeannette Bemis, and daughter, Marilyn Mateer. He is survived his children and their spouses, Sharon Klein (Ernest), Robert Lietzau (Donna), and Janet Rajala (Fred); 4 grandchildren, Jeanne Kajioka (Tom), Andrew Wehr (Michelle), Jason Lietzau (Melody) and Joshua Lietzau (Jaime) and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife, Jean, and her 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
