Long time Redlands resident, Irma Patella passed away on March 12, 2013 at the age of 86, in the company of her friends and family. Irma was born in Canon City, CO on December 13, 1926. Irma and Joseph Patella were married in 1946 and they lived in Bell, CA before moving to Redlands in 1962.
Irma was active in the Redlands community as a member of the Contemporary Club, Elks lodge
, and YMCA. Irma was a talented artist and she enjoyed painting murals on the walls of the Redlands Children Center where she was employed as a teacher for many years. Irma is survived by her two children, Elizabeth Eddleman and Michael Patella, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for Irma will be held at 1pm on Saturday March 16th at Cortner Chapel at 221 Brookside Ave in Redlands. Irma will be laid to rest alongside her husband Joseph Patella at Riverside National Cemetery in a private
