Josephine Lugo Escamilla
96, a resident of San Bernardino for 70 years, peacefully entered into eternal life on Monday April 7th while at home with her family beside her. She was born on March 12, 1918 in Miami, AZ, daughter of Manuel and Anita Lugo. She moved to California as a child with her Mother & sister & lived in San Fernando. She met her husband, Alfredo Escamilla in 1940. She was survived by her husband of 70 years along with her daughters Anna Marie McAfee, Elva Escamilla, Alicia Townsend and her son Nick Escamilla. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was an active member of Catholic Daughters of America for over 65 years. . A Rosary at 10:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 will be held at Holy Rosary Cathedral (25th & Arrowhead) on Tuesday April 15th. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
