Paula Joseph(1937 - 2012)

Paula Jean Joseph
Paula Jean Joseph passed on to the Lord on the evening of December 5, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. At the age of 75, Paula very much kept the spirit of her youth. She was filled with as much joy and laughter as the day she met her soulmate Benny. The couple met in Palm Springs, California when Paula was 19 and Benny was 20 and eventually he won her heart. The couple wed two years later and their union lasted 56 years. They lived in Los Angeles and then moved to Covina, where they started their own family. In 1970, they moved to their current home in Arcadia where they raised their five children.

Paula actively attended football, soccer, basketball games and birthday parties for her family. She also enjoyed shopping, dancing and her "Ladies Night Out" to the Pantages Theater with her best girlfriends. While Paula saw every holiday as an excuse to decorate, her favorite holiday was Christmas.
Paula was a woman of many gifts, but it was her constant devotion to the Catholic Church and her generosity that left an enduring legacy in the lives of those that were privileged to know her. She was the most compassionate, generous and loving woman who bettered every life she touched and will truly be missed. Left to cherish her precious memory is her husband Benny Joseph, her daughter Christy Haines (Robert), her four sons Benny Jr. (Tracy), Paul, John and Gino (Stephanie), her 15 grandchildren: Misty, Michelina, Heather, Jacqueline, Benjamin, Christopher, Robert III, Justin, Lauren, Joseph, Zachary, Christian, Madeline, Amanda and Maxwell, and her five great-grandchildren: Sadie, David, Gianna, James and Eva.
In honor of her passing, there will be a Rosary at Holy Angels Church, 360 Campus Dr., Arcadia, California, 91007 on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 9:30am, immediately followed by a memorial service at 10:00am. The reception will be held at the Turf Club at the Santa Anita Race Track following the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army and the Pregnancy Health Center of San Gabriel Valley at 5626 Rosemead Blvd., Temple City, California.
