ROSEMARY RIGGIO

ROSEMARY RIGGIO
June 25, 1930 - October 3, 2013

Rosemary Riggio was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Mr. & Mrs EJ Velder on June 25, 1930. She was raised in Bonesteel, South Dakota, where she attended high school. She studied at South Dakota State and returned to Omaha and entered nurses training at St. Joseph Hopsital.

She met her future husband, Dr. Eugene Riggio and was married in 1953. After a tour in the Navy, they lived in Temple CIty while Dr. Riggio took residency training in Anesthesiology at Los Angeles County General Hopsital. They moved to Whittier in 1961, where they raised three children, Stephen, Ronald and Angela.

Rosemary was an avid gardener and golfer, playing at California County Club and Friendly Hills County Club. She was past president of the Beverly Hopsital Guild and was an active member of the Whittier Assistance Leagure, Meals on Wheels, and Whittier P.E.O.

Besides her children and their spouses, Rosemary is survived by five grandchildren.

Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church at 9:30am on October 18, 2013.
