Wilma (Billie) Stunden
89, of Rialto, passed away into Gods' hands on 12/31/12. Billie was an enduring force in the community. Three (3) time president of the Fontana Emblem Club and an Elks member, she baked, cooked, knitted and laughed thru her life. Famous for her "fight night chili", monster muffins and chocolate pies, it was the homemade fudge that raised the funds and hearts at all bake sales!
As a young draftsman', she worked on the original "I" Street bridge project in our state capital and also at McClleen Air Force Base for many years.
Sweet Billie is survived by her best friend, true love and travel partner Frank Stunden, husband of 36 years, 5 of 10 siblings, daughter Debi Dye Gibson, grandchildren Andi Gibson, Jill Barron, Trent (Jeri) Barron and great-grand- children Madison, Sofia and Trey Barron, and too many nieces, nephews and cousins to name.
Billie rigged parachutes as a WAVE with the US Navy
and will be inturned in a private service at Riverside Veterans Memorial Cemetery as a WWII
