Stuart Borsuk Obituary

Stuart Skip Wayne Borsuk
November 23, 1947–May 15, 2017
Skip was born in San Bernardino, CA and graduated from San Bernardino High School. He served our country in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Army and later joined the U.S. Navy Seabee reserves. He worked as a machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad and later briefly worked in real estate, but he never lost his love of trains. He was a member of the Riverside Live Steamers, giving children and adults rides on his own miniature steam engine. Skip also served the community as part of the San Bernardino/Highland Optimist Club and continued to oversee the club's scholarship program after it disbanded, as well as establishing the Borsuk Family Scholarship. Skip died unexpectedly at home. He is survived by his wife, Jewell; his daughters, Corina and Marlene; and his sister, Sharon Thomas. Visitation will be May 24, 5 to 7 p.m., at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel in San Bernardino. Services will be Thursday, June 1, 10 a.m., at Bobbitt's, with burial at 12:30 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, send donations in Skip's name to Riverside Live Steamers, P.O. Box 5512, Riverside, CA 92517.

Although we know at such a time,
there's little we can say.
