Angelo "Butch" Timothy Kedis of Long Beach, CA passed away on February 13, 2013 at the age of 69. Angelo was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 26, 1943, son of Gus and Sophia Kedis. He graduated from Lakewood High School and Long Beach City College with a
degree in business administration. He was married to Sherry Harnden Kedis for 48 years. Angelo served 4 years in the Air force and returned home to begin a career with Southern California Edison in Long Beach, CA. Angelo worked for SCE from 1965 until his retirement in 1996. Angelo was a member and former president of the
, member of
American Legion and was a lifetime member of the
Post 4682 of Avalon, CA. Angelo is survived by his 94-year old mother, Sophia; his wife, Sherry; his son Tim and wife Penny; his daughter, Dena; and daughter Traci and husband Patrick. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Matthew, Tyler, Nick, Chase, Morgan, Sophia and Dean Angelo; his brothers, James Lazarus Kedis (and wife, Suzanne) and John G Kedis and many nieces and nephews. The service will be held at Church of our Fathers Chapel at Forest Lawn, followed by his burial at Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to either the Wounded Warriors Project or the VFW in memory of Angelo "Butch" Kedis. Please sign the guestbook at
